The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair’s 2014 Dairy Products Competition

To all cheese and butter producers: We are inviting you to participate in The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair’s 2014 Dairy Products Competition. Here are some key facts about this year’s event:

  • Entry closing date is October 3rd; cheese samples for judging must be onsite by October 23; entry fees are only $12 per product entry
  • There are 9 cheddar classes, including a new category for 2014. The Champion Ontario Cheddar is sponsored by Dairy Farmers of Ontario in honour of their 50th anniversary. Winning cheese of this competition will be featured in sampling at The Royal’s Food and Lifestyle Stage as well as the Dairy Farmers of Canada Canadian Cheese Counter’s exhibit at this year’s Fair
  • In all, there are 22 cow’s milk cheese classes
  • There are also four butter competitions including: salted, unsalted, cultured and innovative
  • Wherever possible, winning cheeses will be integrated into menus at The Royal’s seven dining establishments during the 10 days of the Fair
  • Add the Royal Champion logo to your retail pack or place of business. Make sure your customers know you produce champion cheese.
