US hog cash markets finished off last week with significant gains over the previous week's levels.
That from Tyler Fulton, director of risk management with Hams Marketing Services.
He says forward contract prices are also looking good.
"Prices are generally still very positive. We are looking at a bit of a divergence as far as prices in the nearby timeframe, the summer July/August compared to the September and beyond. That comes really as a function of the expectation of a big supply increase."
