USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 476,300 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up 8 percent from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (112,300 MT), Mexico (84,500 MT), Nigeria (62,000 MT), Italy (46,600 MT), South Korea (27,000 MT), and Venezuela (20,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for the Philippines (1,200 MT).  Net sales of 33,200 MT for 2015/2016 were for unknown destinations.   Exports of 413,700 MT were up 25 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (94,100 MT), Mexico (59,700 MT), the Philippines (56,400 MT), Italy (53,400 MT), Taiwan (41,600 MT), and South Korea (30,800 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, decreases in optional origin sales total 10,000 MT were reported for Algeria.

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 19,800 MT were reported to Italy.  Exports for own account totaling 12,200 MT to Italy were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 38,800 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 693,500 MT for 2014/2015 were down 28 percent from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for unknown destinations (268,700 MT), Mexico (159,900 MT), Japan (114,300 MT, including 45,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), Peru (64,000 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), South Korea (59,600 MT), and El Salvador (29,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Taiwan (51,900 MT), Guatemala (17,800 MT), and the Dominican Republic (7,200 MT).  Net sales of 5,000 MT for 2015/2016 were for El Salvador.   Exports of 754,000 MT were up 11 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (271,000 MT), Mexico (219,800 MT), Peru (64,000 MT), South Korea (60,400 MT), Venezuela (30,000 MT), and Panama (23,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley:  Net sales of 11,500 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Japan (10,000 MT) and Taiwan (1,500 MT).  Exports of 600 MT were up 34 percent from the previous week, but down 93 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was South Korea (600 MT).

Sorghum: Net sales of 147,700 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for China (144,800 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 25,800 MT), and Japan (5,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (2,100 MT).  Exports of 248,000 MT were reported primarily to China (243,000 MT) and Japan (5,000 MT).  

Rice:  Net sales of 78,000 MT for 2014/2015 were down 10 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (24,000 MT), Mexico (13,300 MT), Haiti (9,500 MT), Panama (9,500 MT), and Canada (4,500 MT).  Exports of 39,500 MT were down 64 percent from the previous week and 50 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (16,700 MT), Japan (12,000 MT), Canada (3,100 MT), Honduras (2,100 MT), and Saudi Arabia (1,700 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 696,000 MT for 2014/2015 were down 14 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for China (402,400 MT, including 299,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 75,800 MT), the Netherlands (130,000 MT, including 140,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 10,000 MT), Mexico (117,300 MT), Indonesia (93,400 MT), Japan (68,600 MT), Portugal (57,600 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,400 MT), and Canada (41,700 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (297,200 MT).  Net sales of 350,000 MT for 2015/2016 were for unknown destinations (220,000 MT), Canada (75,000 MT), Mexico (28,000 MT), and Japan (27,000 MT).  Exports of 1,890,600 MT were down 22 percent from the previous week and 26 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (1,388,200 MT), the Netherlands (130,000 MT), Spain (65,000 MT), Mexico (62,800 MT), Portugal (57,600 MT), Taiwan (40,100 MT), Indonesia (37,000 MT), and Canada (35,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 885,000 MT, and are for China (763,000 MT), Egypt (62,000 MT), and unknown destinations (60,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 27,100 MT were reported to Canada.  The current exports for own account balance is 28,400 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 146,800 MT for 2014/2015 were up 65 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Italy (77,100 MT, including 76,200 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (71,000 MT), Thailand (45,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Colombia (21,700 MT, including 6,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Peru (20,000 MT), and Canada (12,700 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (127,900 MT) and Honduras (400 MT).  Exports of 298,000 MT were down 3 percent from the previous week, but up 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Italy (72,100 MT), Indonesia (52,600 MT), Mexico (34,100 MT), Venezuela (30,000 MT), and Colombia (21,100 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 38,800 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 63 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (17,200 MT), South Korea (7,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (4,900 MT), Colombia (4,800 MT), and Jamaica (3,500 MT).  Exports of 26,600 MT were down 50 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.   The primary destinations were Colombia (10,300 MT), South Korea (7,000 MT), Mexico (5,400 MT), and the Dominican Republic (3,500 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 89,500 RB for 2014/2015 were down 55 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for China (54,700 RB), Vietnam (11,300 RB, including 300 RB switched from Japan), India (8,100 RB), South Korea (6,200 RB), and Pakistan (5,700 RB).  Decreases were reported for Indonesia (19,000 RB) and Turkey (4,400 RB).  Net sales of 44,200 RB for 2015/2016 were reported for Indonesia (44,000 RB) and Japan (200 RB).  Exports of 174,500 RB were down 10 percent from the previous week, but up 49 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (68,200 RB), Indonesia (26,700 RB), Turkey (18,300 RB), Mexico (13,200 RB), and Thailand (11,300 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 4,800 RB for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported primarily for China (4,400 RB), Japan (200 RB), and India (100 RB).  Exports of 5,000 RB were down 38 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were China (4,400 RB), Germany (300 RB), Thailand (200 RB), and Taiwan (100 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 53,500 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 435,900 pieces, all whole cattle hides, were up 23 percent from the previous week and 40 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (348,600 pieces, including 2,600 pieces switched from South Korea and decreases of 16,100 pieces), South Korea (40,300 pieces), the Netherlands (21,800 pieces), Mexico (10,200 pieces), and Taiwan (7,800 pieces).  Exports of 227,800 pieces, all whole cattle hides, were down 36 percent from the previous week and 35 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (169,400 pieces), South Korea (31,300 pieces), Mexico (8,700 pieces), Taiwan (6,400 pieces), and Thailand (4,100 pieces).

Net sales of 47,900 wet blues for 2014 were up 41 percent from the previous week, but down 34 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for China (32,300 unsplit and 3,300 grain splits), Italy (11,100 unsplit and 5,600 grain splits), Thailand (12,000 unsplit), and Mexico (5,200 grain splits), were partially offset by decreases for South Korea (14,100 grain splits and 5,300 unsplit), Taiwan (9,200 unsplit), and Japan (200 grain splits).  Net sales of 39,900 wet blues for 2015 were reported for China (22,800 unsplit and 3,900 grain splits), South Korea (14,100 grain splits and 5,300 unsplit), Taiwan (12,400 unsplit), Hong Kong (2,200 grain splits), and Italy (2,000 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for India (16,900 grain splits) and Italy (5,700 grain splits).  Exports of 118,900 wet blues were primarily to China (26,300 unsplit and 22,200 grain splits), Italy (28,300 unsplit and 7,600 grain splits), Thailand (13,600 unsplit), and Mexico (13,400 grain splits).  Net sales of splits totaling 95,100 pounds for 2014 reported for China (132,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for South Korea (33,600 pounds) and Taiwan (3,300 pounds).  Net sales of splits totaling 217,400 pounds for 2015 were for South Korea (272,200 pounds).  Decreases were reported for China (54,800 pounds).  Exports of 562,700 pounds were reported to South Korea (478,000 pounds) and Taiwan (84,700 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 10,900 MT for 2014 were up 10 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Hong Kong (4,000 MT), Japan (2,200 MT), Mexico (2,200 MT), South Korea (1,200 MT), and Canada (600 MT).  Net sales of 300 MT for 2015 resulted as increases for Hong Kong (1,500 MT), South Korea (900 MT), and Taiwan (100 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Japan (2,300 MT).  Exports of 13,900 MT were down 1 percent from the previous week, but up 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Hong Kong (3,700 MT), South Korea (2,900 MT), Japan (2,800 MT), Mexico (1,800 MT), and Canada (1,400 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 10,400 MT for 2014 were up 17 percent from the previous week, but down 6 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for South Korea (3,100 MT), Mexico (2,300 MT), Japan (1,500 MT), Canada (900 MT), and Hong Kong (700 MT).  Net sales of 5,500 MT for 2015 were reported for South Korea (3,100 MT), Mexico (1,000 MT), Canada (600 MT), and Japan (500 MT).  Exports of 19,400 MT were primary to Mexico (6,700 MT), Japan (3,100 MT), South Korea (2,800 MT), Canada (1,500 MT), and China (1,400 MT).

Export Adjustments: Accumulated pork exports for week ending December 4th were adjusted down 26,443 MT due to a reporting error.  Adjustments by country include: Mexico (-11,998 MT), Japan (-4,127 MT), South Korea (-3,663 MT)Hong Kong (-3,317 MT), Canada (-2,073 MT), Australia (-489 MT), Taiwan (-272 MT), New Zealand (-172 MT), the United Kingdom (-169 MT), N. Mariana (-115 MT), and Colombia (-48 MT).
