USDA Export Sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 284,800 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up 89 percent from the previous week, but down 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Philippines (112,800 MT, including 72,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Japan (96,200 MT), Mexico (72,900 MT), China (55,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), and Thailand (50,600 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (122,400 MT) and the French West Indies (6,000 MT).  Net sales of 92,400 MT for 2015/2016 were for unknown destinations (80,000 MT), Costa Rica (8,400 MT), and Colombia (4,000 MT).  Exports of 225,600 MT were down 51 percent from the previous week and 36 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (61,300 MT), Thailand (50,400 MT), the Philippines (43,400 MT), Mexico (29,500 MT), Taiwan (21,200 MT), and Venezuela (8,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 61,400 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 818,800 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for unknown destinations (374,100 MT), Mexico (190,300 MT), South Korea (136,000 MT), Algeria (45,000 MT), and Colombia (40,400 MT).  Decreases were reported for the Dominican Republic (23,300 MT).  Net sales of 25,200 MT for 2015/2016 were for Japan (14,400 MT) and Mexico (10,800 MT). Exports of 400,200 MT were down 22 percent from the previous week and 40 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (186,700 MT), Mexico (129,900 MT), Colombia (30,700 MT), Peru (27,500 MT), and Taiwan (16,100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley:  There were no net sales reported during the week.  Exports of 400 MT were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was Japan.

Sorghum: Net sales of 274,500 MT for 2014/2015 were up 50 percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were for unknown destinations (171,000 MT) and China (103,500 MT).  Exports of 86,700 MT were down 50 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.  

Rice:  Net sales of 76,900 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 68 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (53,600 MT), Taiwan (9,000 MT), Haiti (7,400 MT), Iraq (3,000 MT), and Jordan (2,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for Japan (3,500 MT) and Colombia (1,300 MT).  Exports of 44,900 MT were down 11 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Iraq (31,500 MT), Mexico (3,900 MT), Canada (2,600 MT), Honduras (1,600 MT), and South Korea (1,200 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 1,133,200 MT for 2014/2015 were up 24 percent from the previous week and 66 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for China (793,500 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 77,100 MT), Mexico (149,000 MT), the Netherlands (143,100 MT, including 140,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,800 MT), Vietnam (69,000 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases 100 MT), the United Kingdom (66,900 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Pakistan (66,000 MT), and Spain (60,100 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (554,500 MT) and Morocco (13,500 MT).  Net sales of 305,000 MT for 2015/2016 were for China (235,000 MT), unknown destinations (65,000 MT), and Japan (5,000 MT).  Exports of 1,748,700 MT were up 4 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (851,300 MT), the Netherlands (143,100 MT), Vietnam (71,700 MT), Japan (67,000 MT), Indonesia (67,000 MT), and the United Kingdom (66,900 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, optional origin sales totaling 53,000 MT were reported for China.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 876,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 72,100 MT for 2014/2015 were up 94 percent from the previous week, but down 47 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Denmark (40,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Italy (29,000 MT, including 31,200 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,200 MT), Colombia (27,700 MT, including 5,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and 5,000 MT switched from Panama), Mexico (18,800 MT), the Dominican Republic (14,000 MT), and Greece (8,800 MT, switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (86,100 MT), Egypt (5,400 MT), and Panama (5,000 MT).   Exports of 440,200 MT--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and 85 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Philippines (100,200 MT), Italy (74,000 MT), Pakistan (44,000 MT), Colombia (41,100 MT), Denmark (40,000 MT), and Mexico (30,900 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 29,400 MT for 2014/2015 were down 3 percent from the previous week, but up 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Peru (12,400 MT), Mexico (8,000 MT), Nicaragua (5,300 MT), and Morocco (3,000 MT).  Exports of 22,200 MT were up 62 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Guatemala (10,000 MT), Peru (7,000 MT), Mexico (4,700 MT), and Canada (400 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 441,800 RB for 2014/2015--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (184,500 RB), Vietnam (127,000 RB), Turkey (54,000 RB), Taiwan (21,200 RB), and Indonesia (14,800 RB, including 1,200 RB switched from Japan).  Decreases were reported for India (3,100 RB), Italy (400 RB), and El Salvador (400 RB).  Net sales of 1,500 RB for 2015/2016 were reported for Indonesia (1,300 RB) and Japan (200 RB).  Exports of 227,800 RB--a marketing-year high--were up 11 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (49,900 RB), Indonesia (43,500 RB), Vietnam (40,100 RB), Turkey (38,000 RB), and Mexico (13,000 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 5,800 RB for 2014/2015 were down 34 percent from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for China (3,500 RB), Peru (1,000 RB), India (400 RB), and Pakistan (400 RB).  Exports of 7,000 RB were up 47 percent from the previous week and 44 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (6,200 RB) and Thailand (700 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 52,700 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 517,000 pieces for 2015, all whole cattle hide, were primarily for China (348,200 pieces), South Korea (99,800 pieces), Thailand (23,700 pieces), Taiwan (19,500 pieces), and Indonesia (13,400 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Canada (300 pieces) and Japan (100 pieces).  Exports of 339,500 pieces were reported.  Whole cattle hide exports of 332,500 pieces were primarily to China (210,600 pieces), South Korea (80,100 pieces), Thailand (14,700 pieces), Taiwan (13,500 pieces), and Mexico (6,200 pieces).

Net sales of 199,100 wet blues for 2015 were reported for China (48,700 unsplit and 100 grain splits), Japan (36,100 grain splits), Mexico (26,900 grain splits and 100 unsplit), and Taiwan (25,400 grain splits).  Exports of 122,500 wet blues were primarily to China (38,900 unsplit and 5,800 grain splits), Italy (23,800 unsplit and 3,800 grain splits), Mexico (13,100 grain splits and 1,100 unsplit), and Vietnam (14,000 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 212,700 pounds for 2015 were for China (128,800 pounds), South Korea (82,900 pounds), and Taiwan (1,000 pounds).  Exports of 402,600 pounds were reported to South Korea.

Beef:  Net sales of 11,100 MT for 2015 were reported for Mexico (3,400 MT), South Korea (2,400 MT), Japan (1,700 MT), Hong Kong (1,200 MT), and the Philippines (1,000 MT).  Exports of 12,600 MT were reported to Japan (3,700 MT), Hong Kong (2,400 MT), South Korea (2,100 MT), Mexico (2,000 MT), and Canada (1,000 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 28,200 MT for 2015 were reported for South Korea (10,100 MT), Mexico (8,000 MT), Japan (4,400 MT), Canada (1,600 MT), and Australia (1,000 MT).  Exports of 19,800 MT were to Mexico (7,100 MT), South Korea (4,100 MT), Japan (3,900 MT), and Canada (1,800 MT).
