USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales totaling 434,300 metric tons were reported for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016.  The primary destinations were Taiwan (99,500 MT), Mexico (89,400 MT), Japan (87,100 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Nigeria (42,600 MT), Italy (34,100 MT), and Ecuador (18,400 MT, including 20,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,600 MT).  Decreases were reported for Barbados (2,300 MT) and South Korea (1,000 MT).  Net sales of 1,300 MT for 2016/2017 were reported for Italy (1,400 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Mexico (200 MT).   Exports of 388,300 MT were reported to Italy (56,600 MT), South Korea (50,300 MT), Taiwan (42,200 MT), Mexico (35,600 MT), Peru (33,000 MT), and Nigeria (32,600 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 23,000 MT, all Italy.

Exports for Own Account:  For 2015/2016, exports for own account totaling 25,800 MT to Italy were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 22,700 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 496,800 MT for delivery in 2014/2015 were down 21 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (352,700 MT, including 102,400 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 30,000 MT), South Korea (115,800 MT, including 180,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 66,000 MT), Colombia (74,300 MT), Taiwan (73,700 MT, including 63,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), China (60,500 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Mexico (39,200 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (287,500 MT), the French West Indies (10,000 MT), and New Zealand (5,900 MT).  Net sales of 297,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico (220,200 MT), unknown destinations (48,600 MT), Taiwan (23,000 MT), the French West Indies (5,000 MT), and Guatemala (700 MT).  Exports of 1,126,000 MT were up 8 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (468,700 MT), Mexico (204,700 MT), South Korea (124,600 MT), Colombia (96,000 MT), Taiwan (71,400 MT), and China (61,100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, new optional origin sales totaling 52,500 MT were reported for Egypt.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 52,500 MT, all Egypt.

Barley: Net sales of 100 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Japan.  Exports of 500 MT were reported to Japan (400 MT) and Canada (100 MT). 

Sorghum: Net sales of 100 MT for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for Canada.  There were no exports reported during the week. 

Rice:  Net sales of 131,300 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for unknown destinations (64,300 MT), Haiti (20,300 MT), Mexico (17,500 MT), Saudi Arabia (8,500 MT), and Jordan (6,000 MT).  Net sales of 3,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations.  Exports of 68,100 MT were up 27 percent from the previous week, but down 2 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (12,000 MT), Mexico (11,300 MT), Haiti (10,300 MT), Panama (10,200 MT), and Colombia (10,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 200 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 118,800 MT for 2014/2015 were down 11 percent from the previous week and 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (76,600 MT), unknown destinations (28,400 MT), Japan (27,300 MT), Pakistan (17,000 MT), Turkey (15,000 MT), and Colombia (14,400 MT).  Decreases were reported for China (60,500 MT), Israel (10,500 MT), and Costa Rica (1,000 MT).  Net sales of 202,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (119,300 MT), Mexico (35,900 MT), Japan (22,300 MT), Taiwan (21,500 MT), Vietnam (3,000 MT), and Indonesia (500 MT).  Exports of 150,000 MT were down 58 percent from the previous week and 49 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (59,800 MT), Japan (29,700 MT), Taiwan (26,700 MT), Peru (13,200 MT), and Canada (4,800 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 475,000 MT, all China.  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 385,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 4,300 MT to Colombia were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 106,300 MT for 2014/2015 were up 11 percent from the previous week and 6 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Colombia (30,500 MT), Venezuela (28,000 MT), Canada (14,700 MT), Guatemala (11,900 MT, including 7,900 MT switched from unknown destinations), Honduras (10,000 MT, including 8,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Ecuador (4,800 MT, including 10,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 5,200 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (10,800 MT), Mexico (6,500 MT), and the French West Indies (2,200 MT).  Net sales of 210,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Mexico (112,200 MT) and Spain (90,000 MT).  Exports of 185,300 MT were up 9 percent from the previous week, but down 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Philippines (49,500 MT), Ecuador (37,800 MT), Canada (20,600 MT), Mexico (16,500 MT), Colombia (14,800 MT), and Peru (13,000 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 9,500 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for Venezuela (10,000 MT, switched from Panama), Mexico (8,900 MT), and El Salvador (1,500 MT, including 1,200 MT switched from Guatemala).  Decreases were reported for Panama (10,000 MT) and Guatemala (1,200 MT).  Exports of 15,400 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (10,000 MT), Mexico (4,400 MT), and Trinidad (800 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 60,500 RB for 2014/2015 were up 15 percent from the previous week, but down 24 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Vietnam (27,100 RB, including 600 RB switched from China and decreases of 200 RB), Indonesia (7,700 RB, including 2,300 RB switched from Japan and decreases of 4,200 RB), Turkey (5,800 RB), China (5,700 RB), and South Korea (4,800 RB, including 600 RB switched from China).  Decreases were reported for Japan (2,700 RB), Italy (700 RB), and India (200 RB).  Net sales of 52,700 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Mexico (18,600 RB), Indonesia (12,700 RB), and Thailand (9,800 RB).  Decreases were reported for Morocco (900 RB).  Exports of 187,600 RB were down 10 percent from the previous week and 35 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (41,800 RB), Turkey (22,700 RB), Indonesia (21,300 RB), South Korea (20,300 RB), and Mexico (20,200 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 3,900 RB for 2014/2015 were down 63 percent from the previous week and 64 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Egypt (1,300 RB), Thailand (900 RB), China (400 RB), and India (400 RB).  Exports of 18,600 RB were up 29 percent from the previous week and 46 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (6,700 RB), India (4,700 RB), Pakistan (3,300 RB), Indonesia (900 RB), and Peru (900 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account: New exports for own account totaling 300 MT were reported to China.  The current exports for own account balance is 49,500 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 466,300 pieces for 2015, all whole cattle hides, were up 3 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (325,500 pieces), South Korea (66,500 pieces), Thailand (20,400 pieces), Mexico (18,800 pieces), Italy (18,000 pieces), and Taiwan (10,200 pieces).  Exports of 336,200 pieces were down 30 percent from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 333,500 pieces were primarily to China (188,000 pieces), South Korea (89,300 pieces), Mexico (24,900 pieces), Taiwan (15,600 pieces), and Thailand (9,000 pieces).

Net sales of 81,900 wet blues for 2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 6 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (34,500 unsplit and 25,200 grain splits), Vietnam (11,500 unsplit), Italy (7,900 unsplit), and Taiwan (1,600 grain splits).  Net sales reductions of 5,900 wet blues for 2016 were for China (3,000 unsplit), Taiwan (1,600 grain splits), and India (1,3000 unsplit).  Exports of 95,500 wet blues were primarily to China (23,100 unsplit and 14,900 grain splits), Vietnam (22,900 unsplit), Italy (10,800 unsplit and 1,500 grain splits), and Thailand (8,500 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 80,900 pounds for 2015 resulted as increases for Hong Kong (100,000 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for South Korea (10,600 pounds), China (8,100 pounds), and Taiwan (400 pounds).  Net sales reductions of splits totaling 1,900 pounds for 2016 were for Italy.  Exports of 632,600 pounds were reported to South Korea (482,600 pounds), Taiwan (100,000 pounds), and Hong Kong (50,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 11,500 MT for 2015 were up 40 percent from the previous week, but down 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for South Korea (3,800 MT), Japan (2,300 MT), Mexico (1,800 MT), Canada (1,500 MT), and Hong Kong (800 MT).  Exports of 13,800 MT were down 3 percent from the previous week, but up 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (4,400 MT), South Korea (3,100 MT), Canada (1,700 MT), Hong Kong (1,600 MT), and Mexico (1,500 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 20,500 MT for 2015 were down 9 percent from the previous week, but up 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (9,100 MT), Japan (3,500 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), South Korea (1,200 MT), and China (1,000 MT).  Exports of 19,200 MT were unchanged from the previous week, but down 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (6,800 MT), Japan (3,100 MT), South Korea (1,800 MT), Canada (1,400 MT), and China (1,000 MT).
