USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:  Net sales of 345,900 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 were down 5 percent from the previous week.  Increases were reported for Indonesia (90,000 MT), Mexico (65,400 MT), Sri Lanka (60,000 MT), Thailand (52,100 MT), Guatemala (30,200 MT), and Colombia (26,400 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from Panama).  Decreases were reported for Panama (25,000 MT), Nigeria (18,400 MT), and unknown destinations (12,600 MT). Net sales totaling 1,100 MT for 2016/2017 were reported for Italy.  Exports of 268,800 MT were down 26 percent from the previous week.  The primary destinations were Mexico (50,200 MT), Guatemala (35,300 MT), Brazil (32,000 MT), Japan (30,400 MT), Nigeria (30,100 MT), and Colombia (26,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 23,000 MT, all Italy.

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 20,000 MT were reported to Italy.  Exports for own account to Italy (900 MT) were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 41,800 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 535,200 MT for delivery in 2014/2015 were down 10 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (171,400 MT, including 107,200 MT late reporting and decreases of 9,000 MT), South Korea (125,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Saudi Arabia (70,800 MT, including 66,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), China (63,800 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Egypt (52,400 MT, including 40,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Colombia (43,600 MT, including 27,900 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (139,500 MT) and Mexico (17,900 MT).  Net sales of 149,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (50,800 MT), Mexico (47,100 MT), Colombia (40,000 MT), Japan (10,200 MT), and Honduras (1,000 MT).  Exports of 966,200 MT were down 6 percent from the previous week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (208,200 MT), Mexico (141,800 MT), Peru (83,700 MT), Taiwan (76,100 MT), Egypt (71,400 MT), Saudi Arabia (70,800 MT), and South Korea (65,100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 52,500 MT, all Egypt.

Barley: Net sales of 300 MT for 2015/2016 were up noticeably from the previous week.   Increases were reported for Taiwan.  Exports of 900 MT were reported to Taiwan.  

Sorghum: There were no sales or exports reported during the week.

Rice:  Net sales of 9,400 MT for 2014/2015 were down 86 percent from the previous week and the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Guatemala (10,600 MT, including 6,000 MT switched unknown destinations), Canada (1,700 MT), Mexico (900 MT), Libya (600 MT), and the United Arab Emirates (300 MT).  Net sales of 1,200 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for the United Arab Emirates (700 MT) and Jordan (500 MT).  Exports of 104,400 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and 52 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were South Korea (24,700 MT), Japan (24,100 MT), Turkey (23,500 MT), Mexico (7,300 MT), and Libya (7,100 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 100 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 41,400 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 59 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Netherlands (72,600 MT, including 70,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,000 MT), Indonesia (17,600 MT, including decreases of 10,000 MT), Costa Rica (15,300 MT, including 14,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (13,800 MT, including decreases of 2,500 MT), and Colombia (4,400 MT).  Net sales reductions were reported for unknown destinations (75,000 MT), Japan (5,600 MT), and Canada (4,700 MT).  Net sales of 201,100 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico (61,000 MT), unknown destinations (55,600 MT), Indonesia (41,500 MT), Japan (35,000 MT), and Taiwan (8,000 MT).  Exports of 202,200 MT were down 30 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Netherlands (75,600 MT), Japan (34,000 MT), Mexico (20,400 MT), Costa Rica (20,300 MT), Turkey (16,500 MT), and Morocco (10,600 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 475,000 MT, all China.  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 385,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 101,700 MT for 2014/2015 were up 17 percent from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (57,600 MT), Thailand (45,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Colombia (22,300 MT, including 10,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Guatemala (14,600 MT, including 15,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 500 MT), Canada (9,500 MT), and Belgium (6,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (58,900 MT) and Peru (8,300 MT).  Net sales of 111,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Ecuador (90,000 MT) and Mexico (11,000 MT).  Exports of 225,500 MT were up 38 percent from the previous week and 32 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Philippines (92,000 MT), Mexico (23,100 MT), Colombia (20,600 MT), Guatemala (14,600 MT), Morocco (13,900 MT), and Canada (12,200 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 1,400 MT for 2014/2015 were down 74 percent from the previous week and 70 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (900 MT), the Dominican Republic (400 MT), and Vietnam (100 MT).  Exports of 3,500 MT were down 54 percent from the previous week and 77 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (3,100 MT), Trinidad (100 MT), and Canada (100 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 30,400 RB for 2014/2015 were down 62 percent from the previous week and 49 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (8,700 RB), Vietnam (6,200 RB), Turkey (4,600 RB), South Korea (4,500 RB), Mexico (4,500 RB), and Thailand (2,100 RB).  Decreases were reported for Indonesia (2,900 RB), Honduras (900 RB), and unknown destinations (600 RB).  Net sales of 64,000 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Turkey (30,800 RB) and Mexico (22,400 RB).  Decreases were reported for Honduras (1,600 RB), Morocco (400 RB), and Italy (400 RB).  Exports of 211,100 RB were down 8 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Vietnam (51,300 RB), Turkey (23,400 RB), China (22,500 RB), Thailand (19,700 RB), and Indonesia (18,400 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 5,900 RB for 2014/2015 were down 26 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (3,800 RB), Germany (700 RB), Japan (500 RB), and Pakistan (400 RB).  Net sales of 200 RB for 2015/2016 were reported for India.  Exports of 9,900 RB were up 28 percent from the previous week, but down 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were India (2,800 RB), Pakistan (2,200 RB), Japan (1,500 RB), and Turkey (1,000 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account: The current exports for own account balance is 49,500 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 513,600 pieces for 2015, all whole cattle hides, were up 31 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for China (321,300 pieces), South Korea (82,900 pieces), Mexico (48,400 pieces), Thailand (22,800 pieces), Italy (15,000 pieces), and Vietnam (11,600 pieces).  Exports of 326,000 pieces, all whole cattle hides, were down 23 percent from the previous week and 19 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (161,400 pieces), South Korea (106,600 pieces), Mexico (20,300 pieces), Italy (19,400 pieces), and Thailand (7,000 pieces).

Net sales of 166,300 wet blues for 2015 were down 33 percent from the previous week, but up 60 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Vietnam (63,300 unsplit), China (41,200 unsplit and 5,600 grain splits), Mexico (32,200 grain splits and 8,900 unsplit), and Italy (10,400 unsplit).  For 2016, net sales reductions of 94,400 wet blues were for Taiwan (58,100 unsplit), China (26,000 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (8,000 unsplit), and India (2,300 unsplit).  Exports of 117,900 wet blues were up 37 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (39,900 unsplit and 7,500 grain splits), Vietnam (20,000 unsplit), Italy (7,200 unsplit and 5,400 grain splits), and South Korea (11,100 grain splits).  Net sales of splits totaling 566,800 pounds for 2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were South Korea (318,800 pounds), Hong Kong (150,000 pounds), Cambodia (50,000 pounds), and China (30,500 pounds).  For 2016, net sales reductions of 900 pounds were for Italy.  Exports of 1,455,300 pounds were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were South Korea (873,600 pounds), Taiwan (202,600 pounds), Hong Kong (200,000 pounds), and China (129,200 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 18,100 MT for 2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 70 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (6,600 MT), South Korea (6,200 MT), Hong Kong (1,300 MT), Mexico (1,200 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT).  Exports of 11,300 MT were up 4 percent from the previous week, but down 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,600 MT), South Korea (2,400 MT), Canada (1,500 MT), Mexico (1,400 MT), and Hong Kong (800 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 17,000 MT for 2015 were down 57 percent from the previous week and 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (8,900 MT), Japan (6,400 MT), Canada (2,500 MT), Colombia (800 MT), and Chile (500 MT).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (2,100 MT) and Australia (1,900 MT).  Exports of 24,000 MT were down 38 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (7,800 MT), Japan (4,000 MT), China (2,000 MT), Canada (1,800 MT), and Colombia (1,700 MT).
