USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:  Net sales of 529,100 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 were up 68 percent from the previous week, but down 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Nigeria (95,500 MT), Japan (83,300 MT), South Korea (75,100 MT), the Philippines (60,000 MT), Panama (42,700 MT, including 1,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), Italy (40,600 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Chile (39,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Indonesia (24,400 MT), the Dominican Republic (4,000 MT), Mexico (2,700 MT), and Taiwan (1,600 MT).  Exports of 357,200 MT were down 41 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior-4 week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (53,900 MT), Chile (52,500 MT), the Philippines (52,000 MT), Taiwan (48,200 MT), Japan (35,600 MT), Italy (32,400 MT), and the Dominican Republic (28,300 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 100 MT were reported to Italy.  The current exports for own account balance is 27,500 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales reductions of 131,800 MT for delivery in 2014/2015--a marketing-year low--were down noticeably from previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Japan (58,700 MT), Mexico (47,000 MT), Panama (24,200 MT, switched from Colombia), Taiwan (6,600 MT), and Peru (3,300 MT), were more than offset by decreases for unknown destinations (246,400 MT), Colombia (24,100 MT), Canada (1,600 MT), Venezuela (1,200 MT), and Costa Rica (1,200 MT).  Net sales of 986,600 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Mexico (387,600 MT), unknown destinations (343,800 MT), Japan (89,000 MT), Colombia (64,900 MT), and Taiwan (47,000 MT).  Exports of 820,600 MT were down 11 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (269,500 MT), Mexico (200,000 MT), Venezuela (79,800 MT), Colombia (71,000 MT), South Korea (63,100 MT), Canada (45,800 MT), and Costa Rica (26,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 52,500 MT, all Egypt.

Barley:  There were no sales reported during the week.  Exports of 200 MT were reported to Taiwan.

Sorghum:  Net sales of 49,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for China (165,000 MT, including 116,000 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (116,000 MT).  Net sales reductions of 45,900 MT for 2015/2016 resulted as increases for Japan (4,100 MT), were more than offset by decrease for China (50,000 MT).  Exports of 165,000 MT were up 47 percent from the previous week, but down 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.   

Rice:  Net sales of 33,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Venezuela (29,500 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 500 MT), Mexico (11,000 MT), South Korea (5,400 MT), and Haiti (4,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (28,000 MT) and Taiwan (1,100 MT).  Exports of 89,900 MT were reported to Venezuela (29,500 MT), Colombia (14,300 MT), Honduras (11,300 MT), Mexico (9,600 MT), and Haiti (7,100 MT).  

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 100 MT were reported to Canada.  Exports for own account totaling 100 MT to Canada were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current export for own account balance is 400 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales reductions of 131,600 MT for 2014/2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Netherlands (65,600 MT, including 70,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 4,400 MT), Indonesia (22,000 MT, including 24,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 11,700 MT), Taiwan (8,800 MT), Vietnam (4,600 MT), and Japan (2,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for China (120,000 MT), unknown destinations (94,700 MT), Canada (19,800 MT), and Bangladesh (1,600 MT).  Net sales of 1,457,400 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for China (887,500 MT), unknown destinations (399,500 MT), Turkey (60,000 MT), and Mexico (51,800 MT).  Exports of 231,400 MT were down 42 percent from the previous week, but up 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Netherlands (65,600 MT), Bangladesh (53,400 MT), Indonesia (34,300 MT), and Japan (30,200 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, decreases in optional origin sales totaling 355,000 MT were reported for China.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 120,000 MT, all China.  For 2015/2016, options were exercised to export 110,000 MT to China from the United States.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 275,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 56,100 MT for 2014/2015 were down 11 percent from the previous week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Venezuela (45,000 MT, including 15,000 MT switched from Canada), Thailand (45,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (13,300 MT), the Philippines (4,500 MT), and Sri Lanka (2,700 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (45,000 MT), Canada (9,400 MT), and Colombia (900 MT).  Net sales of 93,800 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for the Philippines (40,000 MT), Ecuador (33,000 MT), Nicaragua (7,700 MT), and Mexico (7,200 MT).  Exports of 113,600 MT were down 36 percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (34,900 MT), Venezuela (15,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (14,400 MT), Morocco (11,000 MT), and Colombia (10,100 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 17,100 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 18 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Guatemala (12,200 MT), Mexico (4,200 MT), Canada (300 MT), and Trinidad (100 MT).   Net sales of 18,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Morocco.  Exports of 4,600 MT were down 89 percent from the previous week and 73 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (4,000 MT), Canada (500 MT), and Trinidad (100 MT).

Cotton:   Net upland sales totaling 61,100 RB were reported for 2015/2016.  Increases were reported for Colombia (17,400 RB), Mexico (13,700 RB), Costa Rica (7,900 RB), Turkey (7,500 RB), Indonesia (6,700 RB, including 500 RB switched from Japan), and Vietnam (3,700 RB, including 100 RB switched from Japan and decreases of 1,900 RB).  Decreases were reported for Taiwan (2,600 RB), South Korea (1,900 RB), and El Salvador (1,100 RB).  Net sales of 20,500 RB for 2016/2017 were reported primarily for Colombia (8,500 RB), Guatemala (6,000 RB), and Mexico (2,600 RB).  Exports of 102,500 RB were reported to Turkey (21,200 RB), Mexico (18,500 RB), Vietnam (11,300 RB), and Indonesia (9,800 RB).   Net sales of Pima totaling 2,200 RB were reported for delivery in 2015/2016.   Increases for India (1,300 RB), Thailand (700 RB), and Indonesia (300 RB).   Decreases were for Japan (200 RB).  Exports of 6,500 RB were reported to India (1,500 RB), Pakistan (1,200 RB), Indonesia (1,000 RB), and China (900 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 1,300 RB were reported to China.  The current exports for own account balance is 51,300 RB, and is for China (47,500 RB) and Vietnam (3,800 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 211,100 pieces for 2015, were down 59 percent from the previous week and 61 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 211,400 pieces were primarily for China (130,200 pieces), South Korea (34,300 pieces), Vietnam (13,100 pieces), Mexico (11,300 pieces), and Taiwan (9,400 pieces).  Exports of 520,700 pieces were up 21 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 515,900 pieces--a marketing-year high--were primarily to China (336,000 pieces), South Korea (101,100 pieces), Thailand (19,200 pieces), Mexico (18,700 pieces), and Taiwan (14,000 pieces).

Net sales of 129,700 wet blues for 2015 were down 20 percent from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (26,300 unsplit and 15,500 grain splits), Vietnam (28,200 unsplit and 100 grain splits), China (22,000 unsplit and 2,800 grain splits), and Thailand (12,000 unsplit).   Exports of 180,000 wet blues were up 11 percent from the previous week and 36 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (31,300 unsplit and 18,800 grain splits), Italy (34,800 unsplit and 12,800 grain splits), Vietnam (28,700 unsplit and 3,700 grain splits), and Mexico (17,000 grain splits and 6,200 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 109,600 pounds for 2015 reported for South Korea (130,100 pounds), Taiwan (27,600 pounds), and China (2,000 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (50,000 pounds).  For 2016, net sales of 24,200 pounds were for Taiwan (41,200 pounds) and Italy (6,600 pounds).  Decreases were reported for China (23,600 pounds).  Exports of 560,000 pounds were down 9 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were Taiwan (244,600 pounds), South Korea (165,400 pounds), and Hong Kong (150,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 12,800 MT for 2015 were up 54 percent from the previous week and 57 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Hong Kong (4,500 MT), South Korea (3,600 MT), Mexico (1,300 MT), Japan (1,200 MT), and Canada (900 MT).  Exports of 10,500 MT were up 6 percent from the previous week, but down 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,600 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Mexico (1,400 MT), Canada (900 MT), and Taiwan (800 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 16,300 MT for 2015 were down 22 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (8,300 MT), South Korea (2,500 MT), Japan (1,700 MT), Hong Kong (1,300 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for the Philippines (300 MT) and Chile (100 MT).  Exports of 16,300 MT were up 4 percent from the previous week, but down 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (7,000 MT), Japan (3,700 MT), Canada (1,900 MT), South Korea (900 MT), and Taiwan (500 MT).
