BEAN MARKET SUMMARY
BEANS: Both Dealer and Grower prices continue to be steady across most
classes. Shipment and movement of beans continue to be very steady, with most
shipments consisting of previously contracted beans. However, the spot market
remains primarily status quo. Grower bids on Great Northerns in Nebraska and
Black Beans in North Dakota/Minnesota are still holding firm this week after
noted price increases over the last two weeks.
Dealer: PINTO BEANS were mostly steady. GREAT NORTHERN BEANS were mostly
steady. LIGHT RED KIDNEY BEANS were mostly steady. DARK RED KIDNEY BEANS were not established. PINK BEANS were steady. SMALL RED BEANS were steady. BLACK BEANS were steady. PEA BEANS were steady to weak. GARBANZOS were mostly steady.
Grower: PINTO BEANS were mostly steady. GREAT NORTHERN BEANS were steady
to firm. LIGHT RED KIDNEY BEANS were steady. DARK RED KIDNEY BEANS were

PEAS AND LENTILS MARKET SUMMARY
IDAHO/WASHINGTON: Trading activity moderate to active on moderate buyer demand.
Dealer: Split Green Peas and Whole Green Peas were mostly steady to firm.
Brewer Lentils and Pardina Lentils were steady on light demand. Yellow Split
Peas, Austrian Winter Peas and Yellow Peas were not established.
Grower: Green Peas and Pardina Lentils were steady to firm. Yellow Peas and
Austrian Winter Peas were steady. Brewer Lentils were mostly steady to weak.
NORTH DAKOTA/MONTANA: Trading activity was moderate to active on good buyer
demand.
Dealer: Green Peas, Yellow Peas, and Richlea Lentils were not established.
Grower Prices: Green Peas were mostly steady to firm with very good buyer
demand. Yellow Peas and Richlea lentils were steady.
CALIFORNIA: Trading activity moderate with moderate demand.
Dealer: Large Limas, Baby Limas, Blackeye Beans, and Garbanzo Beans were not
established.
Grower: Baby Limas, Blackeye Beans and Large Limas were mostly steady.
Canning Quality Large Limas, and Garbanzo Beans not established.
