Väderstad enters a strategic partnership with John Deere in Russia and Ukraine

To grow even closer to the customers and to further strengthen our presence in Russia and Ukraine, Väderstad enters into a regional dealer partnership with John Deere. The partnership means same dealer network for Väderstad and John Deere products in the two countries.

Russia and Ukraine are important markets for Väderstad. Today nearly 4,000 high quality Väderstad machines are successfully assisting famers in these markets.

To take the next step and to grow even closer to farmers in Russia and Ukraine, Väderstad enters a partnership with John Deere in the region. The agreement means that the John Deere dealers in Russia and Ukraine are granted an exclusive right to sell Väderstad products in their region.

“This partnership enables us at Väderstad to both strengthen and to geographically expand our presence in two important markets. Our customers in Russia and Ukraine will benefit from a broad service and support network of skilled and well-trained dealerships,” says Mattias Hovnert, Sales & Marketing Director at Väderstad.

To provide additional support for the customers, the Väderstad subsidiaries, Väderstad Russia and Väderstad Ukraine, will continue their important task of being the local Väderstad sales and service specialists working close to customers in the markets.

It is important to point out that this is a distribution partnership between Väderstad and John Deere for the Russian and Ukrainian market. Väderstad is a family-owned Swedish company with no intention to be acquired or merged.

John Deere has a great reputation as a global supplier of agricultural machinery with high quality, thus making a good fit for a partnership with Väderstad in these markets.

“The high quality Väderstad products and John Deere tractors and products will fit well together and this partnership will strengthen both our brands in the region,” says Hovnert.

“The partnership enables John Deere dealerships to provide a more complete portfolio of implements to Russian and Ukrainian customers. The dealers will have access to a broad range of John Deere machines as well as Väderstad seed drills, planters and tillage equipment,” says Christoph Wigger, Vice President Sales & Marketing Region 2, at John Deere.

The partnership between Väderstad and John Deere in Russia and Ukraine is effective July 25, 2017.
