Vive Crop Protection and Spectrum Non-GMO Announce Collaboration

Spectrum Non-GMO and Vive Crop Protection are working together to bring new solutions to corn growers. Spectrum Non-GMO is committed to bringing the highest yielding non-GMO hybrids to market and Vive Crop Protection products protect crops from early season diseases and insects, without the use of genetic traits.

Josh Richey, President and CEO of Spectrum Non-GMO says, “We’re always looking for ways to help our customers maximize return from our industry-leading hybrids. The fungicide and insecticide products from Vive help corn to start clean and stay clean.”

Spectrum Non-GMO will include AZteroid FC fungicide and Bifender FC insecticide in 2018 field trials to evaluate plant stands and yield. AZteroid FC controls damping off, seedling blight, root rots and stem rots and Bifender FC controls below-ground insects, including corn rootworm. Both products can be mixed in the tank with starter fertilizer, saving farmers money, time and worry.

Tony Zatylny, New Business Development NAFTA Region at Vive Crop Protection explains, “Our fertilizer-compatible products are a perfect fit with non-GMO production systems to ensure corn seed and seedlings get a strong start to set up a successful season. We are excited to be working with a leader in the industry and are 100% confident that Spectrum customers will see the benefits of excellent disease and insect control with no extra work or equipment required.”
