Warrant Ultra In Soybean

Warrant Ultra can be applied preemergence or postemergence until the R2 stage (flowering) in soybean.

Warrant Ultra is approved for use east of I29 and south of I94 in Minnesota in 2016. The maximum use rate is 48 fl oz of Warrant Ultra, which is equivalent to 1.4 qt/A acetochlor and 1 pt/A fomesafen. The product combines SOA 14 and SOA 15 and will be positioned for waterhemp control in soybean in Minnesota.

An important consideration is rotational crop restrictions. Warrant Ultra has a 10 rotational restriction to corn and an 18 month rotational restriction to sugarbeet. Thus, it must be applied preemergence or very early postemergence if used in soybean and followed by corn. Eighteen months means sugarbeet cannot follow soybean in the sequence.

Encapsulated acetochlor requires at least 0.5 inches precipitation for activation. Use methylated seed oil (MSO) if applied postemergence and before weeds are three inches tall. Roundup PowerMax may also be applied in the postemergence mixture with Warrant Ultra.
