The Jackson Beef and Forage Field Night is from 5-8:30 p.m. at the Jackson Agricultural Research Station, which is located at 019 Standpipe Road, in Jackson. The research station is part of the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center and has been a primary site for reproductive and production management research in beef cattle for more than three decades.

The event will feature presentations and information from Ohio State University Extension and OARDC researchers and educators, as well as industry representatives. OSU Extension and OARDC are the outreach and research arms, respectively, of the college.

Topics for the field night include preconditioning of beef calves and grazing and forage options.

“The field night is designed for attendees to meet with knowledgeable speakers and peers to learn information and techniques to take home and put into practice,” Payne said.
