Work for Western Canada's Largest Outdoor Farm Expo is underway

Ag In Motion invited exhibitors and media to a Spring Open House this week to talk about what's new and exciting for the show this year.

It was a chance to get the inside scoop on new demonstrations and events happening at this year's show.

Show Manager Rob O'Conner says they bought another 320 acres or half section of land, so they can expand and improve the demonstration area at the show.

"With the ten different air seeder demonstrations that we are going to have this year, we are going to let those machines have enough space to actually get up to speed," he said. "Farmers can see how that machine works at the speed it's supposed to be calibrated for so that they can see how it most efficiently used."

He notes with the High Clearance Sprayer demonstration instead of driving around in an oval; they will be going into a wheat field so farmers can see how driving the machine over the length of the field how it compares to other name brand equipment in the demonstration.

O'Conner says another highlight of this year's show is a Field of Stars Event for the first day of the show July 17th.

"We announced with STARS a new charity event for them," he said. "Where they're bringing in entertainer Brett Kissel, and they will also like a live auction with some really great agriculture products being offered, and all that money will go back to STARS to help them conduct the service which for us is very important in rural Canada."
