Case IH recently unveiled new Magnum Series tractors with Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) Connect™ technology for the first time in Canada at the London Farm Show in London, Ont.

Farms.com spoke with Mark Hackett, territory manager for Case IH, after the unveiling of the new Magnum.

“This is a very important event for our customers.

“The big thrill is being able to give customers the freedom to control their data. That’s what customers are asking for,” Hackett told Farms.com

“We’re unlocking a level of connectivity and remote viewing never before seen in a Magnum tractor,” Case IH marketing manager Jay Barth said in a recent release.

The new Magnum series tractors connect to the AFS Connect portal to allow producers to manage their farm, fleet, and data from a computer or mobile device.

“It’s about freedom,” explained Bill Weber, marketing manager for Case IH at the recent National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Ky. “The freedom to adjust, manage, monitor, transfer, and partner the way that you want.”

Farmers can connect to the AFS Connect™ portal to monitor their operation remotely as if they were in the cab of the tractor.

The AFS Connect™ technology allows producers to directly share their data with third parties of their choice.

“It allows for a different level of support;

“Your dealer can provide remote service, they can diagnose from the actual dealership, and so on. Which saves money and guarantees up-time.”

The new Magnum series tractors feature an all-new cab.

“We listened to producers and took a hard look at what we could do differently, and it really shows when you get inside.”

The cab features a MultiControl armrest with eight control buttons, a MultiFunction handle with programmable hot-key buttons, and an encoder knob for total user control.

The center pillar in the glass door was removed for additional visibility.

Producers can enjoy additional storage compartments, multiple cup holders, and ports for charging and data for added convenience.

“This is the true integration of tractor and technology,” Barth said, “and we’re not stopping here.”
