Farm And Tractor Safety Courses April

Penn State Extension is hosting two Farm and Tractor Safety courses to be held April 17–18 in East Berlin, PA and April 24–25 in Perkasie, PA. The objective of this course is designed to give farm owners and managers the resources and skills to confidently train farm employees and apprentices in tractor and farm safety.

Day 1 is for farm managers/owners only. Managers will be trained on teaching farm and tractor safety. Day 2 is for managers and employees. With assistance, educators will guide managers through the training of their employees. This workshop will make you more aware of hazardous situations when working with tractors and machinery and help prevent you from becoming a farm injury statistic. We will cover preventing roll overs, PTO safety, safe implement changing, and driver training necessary to maintain safety.
Who should attend?

Farm owners and managers that want to learn how to implement a farm and tractor safety program  and train their employees as well as employees that want to learn about farm and tractor safety procedures.
Registration

The April 17–18 course will be held at Everblossom Farm in East Berlin from 9 am – 3:30 pm each day. Registration and additional information can be found on the registration website.

The April 24–25 course will be held at Blooming Glen Farm in Perkasie, PA from 9 am – 3:30 pm. Registration and additional information can be found on the registration website.

The cost is $25 per person that attends this course (includes lunch).
