John Deere Grain Moisture Tester Provides Mobile Monitoring Capabilities

According to a recent company news release, John Deere’s GT-30300 Grain Moisture Tester allows grain producers to more accurately monitor up to 20 different grain variations during harvest and in storage.

The new hand-held device provides a direct readout of moisture and test weight in just seconds, without having to pre-weigh the samples. The new product measures the moisture of harvested or stored grain from 5% to 45% with repeatable accuracy to plus or minus 0.2% and test weights with repeatable accuracy of 0.5lb. per bushel, according to the release.

The GT-30300 also measures the temperature of stored grains from 40 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, with an included backlit LCD display for easy viewing of data, automatic temperature compensation and a USB port and cord to make software updates and downloading data a simple, unified process.
