New Product Development and Expansion Spurs Growth at Juniper Organics

Supporting businesses in rural communities helps create opportunities for business growth and good paying jobs for the middle-class and those looking to join it. The Governments of Canada and New Brunswick are pleased to provide a total of $425,000 to help Juniper Organics develop new horticultural mixes and expand its operations.

TJ Harvey, Member of Parliament for Tobique-Mactaquac, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), was joined by the Honourable Andrew Harvey, New Brunswick Minister of Environment and Local Government and MLA for Carleton-Victoria, and Stephen Fyffe, General Manager of Juniper Organics, to make the announcement today.

These investments will enable the company to develop new high-quality horticultural products, expand its operations, and increase exports and sales, leading to the creation of up to ten new jobs. The Government of Canada is providing a repayable contribution of $50,000 through ACOA’s Business Development Program to enable to company to hire needed expertise, while the Province of New Brunswick is investing $375,000 to help expand the company’s operations.

These investments build on the Government of Canada’s commitment to drive economic growth in Atlantic Canada through the Atlantic Growth Strategy, by providing strategic investments for projects that build on the region’s competitive advantages, including a strong horticultural sector and a skilled workforc
