Ontario Student Nutrition Program Receives Grant from DuPont Pioneer

The Ontario Student Nutrition Program is pleased to announce that DuPont Pioneer donated $ 7,500 as part of its Full Belly! Full Mind! initiative that supports nutrition and breakfast programs across Canada.

The grant will be specifically used to support meal and snack programs at 15 rural schools. Pioneer sales representatives from the Perth-Huron area endorsed the grant.

"We are pleased to have made this donation as we understand that a nutritious, well-balanced diet is the foundation of good health and success for our children," says Jeremy O'Shea, Account Manager, DuPont Pioneer.

"Children who are well nourished tend to perform better in school, have better attendance, and exhibit fewer behavior problems," says Nancy Fisher, Co-ordinator, Ontario Student Nutrition Program.  "The donation from DuPont Pioneer will support us in ensuring that approximately 2,000 rural students develop to their full potential."

Pioneer makes contributions to community-based organizations on behalf of the business and employees. Consideration for outreach grants are given to communities where Pioneer representatives, employees and customers live and work and that support quality-of-life initiatives to create an improved, sustainable lifestyle for people worldwide.
