Four Soybean Production Workshops will be held throughout Pennsylvania again this December. The four locations include Potter on December 10th, Westmoreland – December 11th, Schuylkill - December 12th and York on December 13th. The program at each location includes:

  • Planting & Cultural Management - seeding rate, planting depth, row spacing and hybrid choice
  • Weed, Insect & Disease Management - scouting, control options and IPM
  • Harvest & Storage Considerations - maturity, harvest loss and storage moisture & temperature
  • Presentations & Discussion from Penn State Specialists, County Educators &  Experienced Soybean Producers

These workshops are the perfect opportunity to bring together experienced growers and those new to soybean production in a small workshop environment where we can share experiences and review on-farm trials and research. CCA & Pesticide Credits may be available at each location. Each workshop begins at 9:00am, includes lunch and concludes by 2:00pm. Pre-registration is required, including a $10.00 fee to help cover lunch. All other expenses are covered by the Pennsylvania Soybean Board and Penn State Extension. Please call the Lebanon County Extension Office at 717-270-4391 to register.
