USDA Export Sales Report Release

Wheat:   Net sales of 287,800 MT reported for Nigeria (84,800 MT), unknown destinations (57,700 MT), Thailand (50,000 MT), Indonesia (40,000 MT), and Mexico (19,500 MT), were partially offset by decreases for China (1,200 MT) and the Leeward Windward Islands (800 MT).  Net sales of 900 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Mexico.  Exports of 382,800 MT were primarily to China (58,800 MT), Nigeria (51,800 MT), South Korea (49,600 MT), Taiwan (48,100 MT), and the Philippines (35,700 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 30,000 MT, all Italy.

Exports for Own Account:  For 2013/2014, the current exports for own account balance is 19,200 MT, all Belgium-Luxembourg.

Corn:  Net sales of 1,202,900 MT for 2013/2014 reported for Mexico (301,400 MT), Japan (226,800 MT, including 50,600 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 73,000 MT), South Korea (150,900 MT), China (115,700 MT, including 47,300 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 5,400 MT), unknown destinations (90,300 MT), and Saudi Arabia (74,000 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Venezuela (5,000 MT).  Exports of 463,800 MT were primarily to Mexico (134,800 MT), China (121,000 MT), Japan (51,900 MT), Peru (32,200 MT), and Guatemala (28,600 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 100,000 MT, all Mexico.

Barley:  There were no sales reported during the week.  Exports of 100 MT were to South Korea.

Sorghum:  Net sales of 138,200 MT for 2013/2014 were for unknown destinations (61,300 MT), China (61,000 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Japan (15,800 MT, including 6,700 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Exports of 8,500 MT were to Japan (6,700 MT), China (1,700 MT), and Mexico (100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales: For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 60,000 MT, all China.

Rice:  Net sales of 43,000 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for Taiwan (10,000 MT), Mexico (7,000 MT), Ghana (6,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (5,900 MT), and Turkey (4,600 MT).  Decreases were reported for Guatemala (100 MT).  Exports of 46,700 MT were primarily to Japan (14,500 MT), Honduras (8,700 MT), the United Kingdom (8,700 MT), Mexico (3,800 MT), and Jordan (2,400 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 848,500 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for China (667,100 MT, including 172,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 132,700 MT), the Netherlands (91,300 MT, including 91,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (63,100 MT), Spain (58,100 MT, switched from the United Kingdom), and Bangladesh (50,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (231,000 MT) and the United Kingdom (60,000 MT).  Net sales of 60,600 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for China (60,000 MT) and Japan (15,600 MT).  Decreases were reported for Morocco (15,000 MT).  Exports of 2,065,300 MT were primarily to China (1,515,300 MT), the Netherlands (91,300 MT), Thailand (78,700 MT), Mexico (71,300 MT), and Spain (58,100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, optional origin sales totaling 55,000 MT were reported for China.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 231,000 MT and are for China (165,000 MT) and unknown destinations (66,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  For 2013/2014, exports for own account totaling 53,900 MT were reported to Canada.  Decreases in exports for own account totaling 69,300 MT were reported to Canada.  The current exports for own account balance is 32,100 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 283,200 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for Thailand (100,000 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Philippines (44,300 MT), Poland (23,900 MT, including 24,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 100 MT), the United Kingdom (20,600 MT, including 20,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Colombia (20,300 MT).  Exports of 301,200 MT were primarily to Vietnam (49,800 MT), the Philippines (49,300 MT), Mexico (31,700 MT), and Venezuela (30,000 MT).

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 7,200 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for Mexico (2,400 MT), El Salvador (1,900 MT), Guatemala (1,500 MT), and Nicaragua (1,400 MT).   Exports of 7,700 MT were primarily to Mexico (2,900 MT), El Salvador (1,900 MT), Nicaragua (1,400 MT), and Canada (1,300 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 472,700 RB for 2013/2014 were reported for China (177,800 RB), Turkey (148,300 RB), Vietnam (43,600 RB), Peru (17,100 RB), and Thailand (13,700 RB, including 400 RB switched from Japan).  Net sales of 9,200 RB for 2014/2015 were reported for Turkey.  Exports of 66,000 RB were primarily to Mexico (19,300 RB), China (16,800 RB), Turkey (6,600 RB), Thailand (4,800 RB), and Guatemala (3,500 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 32,500 RB for 2013/2014 resulted as increases for China (33,600 RB, including 3,600 RB switched from India), Indonesia (2,600 RB, including 1,100 RB switched from India), Italy (1,000 RB), and Thailand (900 RB switched from India), were partially offset by decreases for India (5,500 RB).  Exports of 11,700 RB were primarily to China (8,700 RB), India (1,900 RB), Indonesia (600 RB), and Pakistan (300 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 14,200 RB, and are for Thailand (9,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account:  For 2013/2014, exports for own account totaling 100 RB to China were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 53,700 RB, and is for China (53,300 RB) and Vietnam (400 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 395,700 pieces were reported for delivery in 2013.  Whole cattle hide sales of 391,900 pieces were primarily for China (240,500 pieces), South Korea (87,400 pieces), Taiwan (20,900 pieces), Vietnam (12,800 pieces), and Thailand (11,200 pieces).  Exports of 548,200 pieces were reported.  Whole cattle exports of 544,000 pieces were primarily to China (358,800 pieces), South Korea (125,100 pieces), Mexico (22,400 pieces), Taiwan (9,400 pieces), and Japan (6,900 pieces).

Net sales of 150,500 wet blues for 2013 were primarily for China (48,600 unsplit and 1,200 grain splits), Thailand (47,100 unsplit), Taiwan (32,200 unsplit), Italy (13,300 unsplit), and Mexico (8,200 grain splits and 200 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (400 unsplit).  Exports of 169,300 hides were primarily to Italy (50,600 unsplit and 3,800 grain splits), China (27,800 unsplit and 1,100 grain splits), Thailand (21,700 unsplit), Mexico (13,000 grain splits and 4,800 unsplit), and Vietnam (14,400 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 210,900 pounds were reported for Hong Kong (146,700 pounds), South Korea (32,100 pounds), and China (32,000 pounds).  Exports of 381,100 pounds were to South Korea (296,400 pounds) and Hong Kong (84,700 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 11,800 MT for 2013 were reported for South Korea (2,600 MT), Hong Kong (2,300 MT), Japan (2,200 MT), Canada (2,000 MT), and Mexico (1,700 MT).  Decreases were reported for Vietnam (100 MT) and Chile (100 MT).  Net sales of 1,700 MT for 2014 were for Hong Kong (1,000 MT), South Korea (500 MT), and Taiwan (200 MT).  Exports of 13,100 MT were primarily to Japan (3,100 MT), Hong Kong (2,800 MT), South Korea (2,200 MT), Mexico (2,100 MT), and Canada (1,300 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 7,600 MT for 2013 were primarily for Mexico (2,100 MT), Japan (1,900 MT), South Korea (1,200 MT), Canada (800 MT), and Australia (800 MT).  Exports of 10,200 MT were reported to Mexico (4,000 MT), Japan (1,200 MT), Hong Kong (1,100 MT), South Korea (1,100 MT), and Canada (1,000 MT).
