It's time to vote for your favorite singer. FMC Corporation announces the voting phase of its "Stand & Be Heard Anthem Singing Contest."

More than 150 entries have been received from agriculture students across the country showcasing their patriotic singing skills for a chance to win scholarship prizes.

Entries were received between March 15 and July 15 and are now posted online at www.FMCcrop.com/contest. The public online voting phase, beginning today, will determine the finalists.

"FMC is investing in farming's future by providing these types of opportunities that foster growth for the next generation," said Rick Ekins, FMC Product Manager. "We are pleased with the participation in this contest as well as the impressive talent from our agricultural youth."

Entrants of the "Stand & Be Heard Anthem Singing Contest" are members of a national ag-related student organization, such as FFA, 4-H or a student NAMA chapter, with plans to pursue a career in agriculture or agribusiness. Voting is open to anyone until August 24 by logging on to www.FMCcrop.com/contest to view videos and vote for the most talented among our industries youth. The top four finalists from the voting phase will be announced on Aug. 30.

Videotaped interviews and performances of the four finalists will then be aired on RFD-TV with online voting to determine the grand prize winner. Voting for finalists will take place between September 24 and October 19. Three of the finalists will each receive a $5,000 college scholarship. The grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 college scholarship. The grand prize winner will be announced on Oct. 24.

"We have many talented students who are involved in agriculture," Ekins said. "It will be a great experience for our finalists to share their agricultural story and sing the National Anthem on national television."

FMC Corporation has additional plans to invest in farming's future with the anticipated EPA registration (EPA registration is currently pending) of two new herbicides, Anthem TM and Anthem TM ATZ, in late 2012.
