Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association Announces New Leadership

The Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association (Wheat Growers) is pleased to announce that Osborne Interim Management (www.osborneinterim.com) has been contracted to lead their day to day operations, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and communications.

The Osborne team is comprised of Dave Quist as Executive Director, Norm Dreger for stakeholder engagement, and Shannon Foster for communications.  Their full bios are available on the Osborne website.

“The Wheat Growers are very pleased to be working with the Osborne Interim Management team.  We have seen substantial growth in the past number of years and I believe that they will continue the momentum as we grow forward,” said Jim Wickett, Wheat Growers Chair.

Now in its 48th year of operation, the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association is a voluntary farmer-run advocacy organization dedicated to developing policy solutions that strengthen the profitability and sustainability of farming, and the agricultural industry as a whole.

The Wheat Growers support open and competitive markets, agricultural innovations that add value, enhance competitiveness, and increase net returns to farmers, sound, science-based environmental and food safety policies, and the removal of barriers to market access.

The Wheat Growers would like to thank its outgoing Executive Director, Robin Speer, who has taken over as Manager Public Affairs at CN.  Wheat Growers President, Levi Wood added that “farmers are happy to have someone who knows and understands our industry at CN.  We wish Robin well.”
