Pulse Crop Grading And Update on Current CGC Isues


The Canadian Grain Commission has invited the grain industry, producer groups and the media to attend an information session to be presented at the Western Canada Farm Progress Show on June 16, 2011.

The information session will focus on:

      -  An interactive presentation about pulse grading and the factors that
         determine grades.
      -  Recent and upcoming CGC initiatives that will impact the grain
         industry.

Presenters at the information session include:

      -  Elwin Hermanson, Chief Commissioner
      -  Jim Smolik, Assistant Chief Commissioner
      -  Daryl Beswitherick, Manager of Quality Assurance Standards

What:  Information session for grain industry and producer groups
           presented by the Canadian Grain Commission.

When:  9:45 a.m. June 16, 2011

This event is by invitation only for industry and producer groups, but is open to all media. Canadian Grain Commission presenters will be available for media interviews before and after the information session.
