Prices Up Again on NASS Weekly Cheese Survey

Prices were higher on this week's National Ag Statistics Service Weekly Cheddar Cheese Survey released Friday. The price of 40 pound blocks for Minnesota-Wisconsin averaged $2.08, which is up 18 cents from last week's price, while 500 pound barrels were 13 cents higher at $2.11. The price of U.S. 40-pound blocks was 16 cents higher at $1.95 for the week ending June 18. The barrels were at $2.09, which is up 14 cents from the previous week.

Butter prices were three cents lower as the price for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $2.12 per pound for the week.

Nonfat Dry Milk prices were fractionally higher for the week at $1.66 per pound for USDA Extra Grade standards.
