CANADA'S FARMPROGRESS SHOW

Presented By Viterra

June 2019

On behalf of my colleagues on City Council and the

citizens of Regina, I am pleased to welcome you to

the 42nd Annual Canada's Farm Progress Show.

The arrival of Canada's largest trade show is

always an exciting time for Regina. Agriculture

remains one of the pillars of Saskatchewan's econo-

my, and we are fortunate to be home to decades of

vital innovation and progress that has benefitted

producers in Canada and across the world. The

compelling week ahead gives us a unique opportuni-

ty to help grow an important economic sector.

We have received wonderful feedback about the

addition of the International Trade Centre, which

has been an integral part of Canada's Farm Progress

Show since 2017. This bright, purpose-built space

offers an expanded, updated, and interconnected

element that has given a new vibrancy to the show

and its more than 700 exhibits.

This show is a massive undertaking, and we are

fortunate that the team behind Canada's Farm

Progress Show carry it off well every year. I applaud

them and their team of volunteers for putting

together another outstanding program for 2019.

The success of the show would not be possible

without their dedication.

While the show itself will no doubt keep you busy,

I invite you to explore our city and see everything it

has to offer. The RCMP Heritage Centre, the Sas-

katchewan Science Centre, the Kramer IMAX

Theatre, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and the

Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame and Museum

offer the chance to learn more about Saskatchewan

and its history. We also have many unique shops and

fine restaurants, where you are sure to discover the

warm and friendly nature of our city.

Best wishes for an enjoyable stay and a safe

journey home!
