On behalf of the Government of
Saskatchewan, I am pleased to
welcome you to Canada’s Farm
Show. After a couple of challeng-
ing years, it is great to see the
agriculture industry gather in
person again for this year’s event.
As one of the largest trade-
shows in our nation, this world
class event brings together
thousands of producers, exhibitors, and international
buyers from around the globe to see the latest and
greatest in agriculture technology and equipment. This
show provides a great opportunity to attract investment
into our province, which in turn strengthens our econo-
my and creates jobs.
Now in its 44th year, Canada’s Farm Show is as
important as ever. With an ever-increasing global
demand for food, farmers need access to industry-lead-
ing technologies—and Canada’s Farm Show provides
exactly that.
Agriculture continues to be one of the leading
sectors in our province’s growing economy. In 2021,
Saskatchewan agriculture exports were the largest on
record, valued at $17.5 billion. With exciting innovations
and technologies coming from our province, Saskatche-
wan has positioned itself as a key supplier of safe and
healthy food for the rest of the world.
In Saskatchewan’s Growth Plan for 2030, our govern-
ment has laid out ambitious, but achievable targets in
the areas of crop production, value-added processing
and agri-food exports. Saskatchewan does this in a way
that is sustainable, ensuring our future generations also
have the opportunity to grow and thrive in the agricul-
tural sector. Canada’s Farm Show is an important hub for
helping us reach those targets.
Thank you to the many organizers and volunteers who
contribute to make this world-class event possible.
Welcome and best wishes for another productive and
successful show.
