Despite being a risky business, agriculture
is one of the most important industries
worldwide.
With our global population growing, urbanization
increasing, and disposable income rising, we can
expect an increase in demand for food. According to
the
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United
Nations
, global farmers need to increase productivity
by 60 percent by 2050 to meet the growing demand
for food.
However, none of this is going to happen without AI
(artificial intelligence) solutions that make farming easy
and efficient. This article will examine how AI can be
used to improve the sustainability of farming, identify
current challenges, and explore the opportunities for
AI to tackle these challenges:
