AgStar Hog Blog: Will United States Pork Exports Grow in 2014?

United States pork exports came in strong at year-end with a 3.5% increase from a year ago helping to set the stage for growth in 2014. Who is leading the export growth? Mexico imports over 1/3 of their pork from the U.S. helping producers expand in the marketplace by producing a globally competitive product. Along with Mexico, Japan, China and Canada are the leading markets of U.S. pork exports at 80%.
