When to Swath Canola

First off today, we find out when farmers should be swathing their canola. Keith Gabert, agronomist with the Canola Council of Canada, says it’s key that growers crack pods open and look for seed colour change.

As far as this year’s crop goes, Gabert says growers are telling him they’re expecting an average crop, but of course conditions vary across the province. Keith Gabert is an agronomist with the Canola Council of Canada.
