CBS to Air Story on Antibiotics in Food Animals

The National Pork Board has been working with the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) and others in the industry on an upcoming story on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. The two-part piece on antibiotics in food animals will air on Tues., Feb. 9 and Wed., Feb. 10. Dr. Liz Wagstrom, assistant vice president of science and technology for the Pork Checkoff, was interviewed in New York by Katie Couric. It will include interviews and footage from Denmark as well as the United States. The National Pork Board is working closely with NPPC to monitor media stories and is implementing a response plan for managing issues that arise from this story.
