Tulare, Calif. – (AgPR)– Anticipation is building in the agricultural world for the 43rd annual World Ag Expo “Powering Global Agriculture,” set to take place Feb. 9-11 in Tulare, Calif.
International Agri-Center staff and Volunteers are putting final touches in place for the opening of World Ag Expo. The event is the largest annual agricultural exposition of its kind with 1,600 exhibitors displaying cutting-edge agricultural technology and equipment from 67 countries on an industry leading 2.6 million sq. ft. of show grounds.
“Each year those in the agricultural industry look forward to World Ag Expo,” said Bernie Cargle, 2010 World Ag Expo Chairman. “In this economy, we made it a priority to put together an expo that would provide attendees with the technology and the knowledge needed to power their operation and profits.”
This year, attendees will find technology that is making strides to power agriculture in the 2010 Top-10 New Products showcased inside the New Product Pavilion on Expo Lane and R Street. A panel of agribusiness professionals from across the nation including farmers, ranchers and industry professionals selected the Top-10 New Products and 10 Honorable Mention Products from more than 70 entries.
Also new this year, winners of the new 2010 World Ag Expo Forage Challenge, presented by Mycogen Seeds, will be on display at the Expo, along with educational displays and seminars where growers can learn more about forage production. The competition was launched earlier this year to allow farmers and ranchers from 11 western states to demonstrate their skills in producing high-quality forage.
Attendees will also have the chance to enjoy more seminars than ever at World Ag Expo inside the expanded agriculture seminars center. The expanded center will allow for 12 additional seminars ranging from international agriculture to dairy and irrigation. The expanded center sits on a 1,200-square-foot section of the expansion area.
Also new this year, World Ag Expo and AgCareers.com have teamed up to open the Hilvers Career and Education Center. The Center will assist job seekers at World Ag Expo 2010 with job placement assistance. It is located in the Hilvers building on Median Street and “S” Street.
Online attendee registration is now open at WorldAgExpo.com. Those who register online through Feb. 1 will save $2 off daily admission ($12) and be automatically entered to win a Yamaha Rhino, Free Fuel for a year and 1-year use of a Massey Ferguson 2680 HD, low profile or standard.
