USDA: Weekly Sales Export Report

Wheat:  Net sales of 545,100 MT for the 2011/12 marketing year were primarily for Brazil (75,300 MT), China (60,500 MT), Iraq (50,000 MT) Nigeria (48,100 MT), the Philippines (45,000 MT), unknown destinations (45,000 MT), and Chile (40,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Venezuela (14,800 MT) and Malaysia (3,200 MT).  Exports of 482,600 MT were mainly to Nigeria (75,200 MT), South Korea (52,900 MT), Iraq (52,500 MT), Mexico (52,100 MT), Malaysia (41,900 MT), Chile (40,500 MT), and Tanzania (40,100 MT). 
Corn:  Net sales of 691,700 MT were up 68 percent from the previous week and 85 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for South Korea (107,400 MT), Venezuela (104,200 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (100,500 MT), unknown destinations (77,900 MT), Japan (54,300 MT, including 30,400 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 10,600 MT), and Colombia (49,000 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Honduras (20,200 MT).  Net sales of 242,600 MT for delivery in 2011/2012 were mainly reported for unknown destinations (100,000 MT), Japan (36,100 MT), Honduras (25,900 MT), and Jamaica (23,500 MT).  Exports of 655,200 MT were down 44 percent from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (149,100 MT), Venezuela (94,400 MT, including 34,500 MT late reporting), Mexico (93,200 MT), Egypt (80,200 MT), South Korea (52,500 MT), and Panama (35,200 MT). 
Barley:   There were no sales reported during the week.  Exports of 900 MT were to Taiwan (800 MT) and Canada (100 MT). 
Sorghum:  Net sales of 27,200 MT resulted as increases for Mexico (50,100 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Chile (22,900 MT).  Exports of 56,400 MT were to Mexico. 
Rice:  Net sales of 66,600 MT were down 13 percent from the previous week and unchanged from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Haiti (19,400 MT), Mexico (19,200 MT), Honduras (11,600 MT), unknown destinations (4,500 MT), and Costa Rica (2,700 MT).  Decreases were reported for Libya (100 MT).  Exports of 44,800 MT were down 67 percent from the previous week and 40 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Costa Rica (14,300 MT), Honduras (8,400 MT), Mexico (6,500 MT), Libya (5,300 MT), and Saudi Arabia (2,500 MT). 
Soybeans:  Net sales reductions of 335,600 MT resulted as increases for Japan (84,100 MT, including 21,600 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 100 MT), Vietnam (4,500 MT), Taiwan (4,200 MT), and China (3,900 MT), were more than offset by decreases for unknown destinations (438,500 MT).  Net sales of 458,100 MT for delivery in 2011/2012 were mainly reported for unknown destinations (292,500 MT) and China (120,000 MT).  Exports of 154,700 MT were down 16 percent from the previous week and 19 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were primarily to China (63,900 MT), Japan (26,300 MT), Indonesia (18,500 MT), Mexico (18,100 MT), and Israel (8,800 MT). 
Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 108,300 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (21,100 MT), Canada (17,200 MT), Israel (17,000 MT, including 8,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Philippines (10,700 MT), and Guatemala (10,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (8,500 MT).  Exports of 130,600 MT were up 39 percent from the previous week and 49 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (36,800 MT), Mexico (26,800 MT), Canada (25,900 MT), Morocco (18,000 MT), and Guatemala (8,500 MT). 
Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 23,600 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and 69 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Canada (15,600 MT), the Dominican Republic (6,600 MT), and Mexico (1,300 MT).  Exports of 20,300 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Dominican Republic (6,600 MT), Morocco (5,500 MT), Algeria (5,500 MT), and Mexico (2,000 MT). 
Cotton:  Net Upland sales reductions of 135,300 RB resulted as increases for Pakistan (3,500 RB), Mexico (900 RB), and Indonesia (900 RB, switched from Japan), were more than offset by decreases for China (136,900 RB), Turkey (1,600 RB), and South Korea (1,100 RB).  Net sales of 35,200 RB for delivery in 2011/2012 were mainly for China (26,400 RB), Morocco (21,600 RB), Mexico (2,900 RB), and Ecuador (1,800 RB).  Decreases were reported for Pakistan (8,500 RB), Thailand (4,400 RB), Turkey (4,400 RB), and Vietnam (2,800 RB).  Exports of 177,700 RB were up 9 percent from the previous week, but down 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (53,000 RB), Turkey (35,100 RB), Mexico (19,700 RB), Vietnam (10,800 RB), and South Korea (9,500 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 3,400 RB resulted as increases for Indonesia (3,400 RB) and Turkey (100 RB), were partially offset by decreases for Japan (100 RB).  Net sales of 500 RB for delivery in 2011/2012 were for Indonesia.  Exports of 4,700 RB were primarily to Indonesia (3,500 RB), Bangladesh (400 RB), and Thailand (300 RB). 
Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 395,900 pieces, all whole cattle hides, were reported for delivery in 2011, down 26 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were China (204,300 pieces, including 8,500 pieces switched from Hong Kong and decreases of 7,400 pieces), South Korea (109,400 pieces), Taiwan (27,500 pieces), Vietnam (24,000 pieces), and Mexico (12,100 pieces).  Exports of 424,800 pieces were down 16 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides exports of 422,100 pieces were primarily to China (227,900 pieces), South Korea (82,200 pieces), Taiwan (28,500 pieces), Vietnam (28,000 pieces), and Mexico (15,700 pieces).               
Net sales of 161,400 wet blues for delivery in 2011 were primarily for China (46,300 unsplit and 19,000 grain splits), Hong Kong (22,500 unsplit), Thailand (16,700 unsplit and 5,000 grain splits), Vietnam (16,900 unsplit), and Mexico (15,600 grain splits and 200 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Germany (1,000 unsplit).  Exports of 112,200 hides were primarily to China (53,100 unsplit and 5,700 grain splits), Vietnam (17,500 unsplit), Mexico (8,000 grain splits and 2,800 unsplit), Thailand (8,500 unsplit), and the Dominican Republic (7,200 unsplit).  Net sales reductions of splits totaling 140,400 pounds were for China (13,500 pounds), Italy (16,200 pounds), and South Korea (110,700 pounds).  Exports of 150,000 pounds were to South Korea. 
Beef:  Net sales of 15,700 MT for delivery in 2011 were primarily for South Korea (2,900 MT), Canada (2,800 MT), Mexico (2,400 MT), Vietnam (1,900 MT), and Hong Kong (1,600 MT).  Exports of 15,700 MT were mainly to Japan (3,500 MT), Mexico (2,800 MT), South Korea (2,500 MT), Canada (2,000 MT), and Vietnam (1,700 MT).
