The Government of Ontario implemented new rules and regulations on July 1, 2015 when it comes to neonicotinoid-treated corn and soybean seeds. The new provisions are part of the Province’s attempt to reduce the number of neonicotinoid acres planted by 80 percent by 2017. Growers will eventually be required to complete integrated pest management training and fill out pest reports when they want to buy or use any amount of seeds treated with neonics.
