New classroom kit helps students explore agriculture careers

AgCareers continues to support the development of future agricultural leaders through the release of the third edition of its U.S. Classroom Implementation Kit. This free and comprehensive educational resource equips teachers, advisors, and industry professionals to inspire students to explore a wide range of careers in the food and agriculture sectors.

Created by education experts from the National FFA Organization, the kit complements the latest AgCareers U.S. Food & Agriculture Career Guide. It includes ready-to-use lesson plans, hands-on classroom activities, interactive worksheets, curated online resources, and digital links. Each element aligns with educational standards, ensuring teachers can easily incorporate the materials into their curriculum.

“We talked to so many teachers at last week’s National FFA Convention who were thrilled to have this new resource for their classroom,” said Bonnie Johnson, Marketing & Communications Manager, AgCareers. “We want to ensure that educators across the U.S. know about this unique resource to educate and explore the unlimited career pathways in the agriculture and food industry.”

Students using the kit will learn how to identify career resources, prepare for internships and mentorships, and explore diverse opportunities within the agricultural industry. While designed for high school students, lessons can be adapted for other education levels.

Educators can download the Classroom Implementation Kit for free at AgCareers Classroom Implementation Guide. The accompanying Food & Agriculture Career Guide also connects students with industry insights and potential employers offering internships and entry-level roles.
