Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Dec 01, 2017

The week of Nov 27, 2017 saw the price of live cattle end at 121.975. Compared to last week’s ending price of 124.575 the price of live cattle dropped by 2.1%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Dec 01, 2017 when the price was at 121.975.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 6.2%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 130.05 and have since dropped to 121.975.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2016, the price was at 98.625. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 23.7%.

On Nov 07, 2016, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 96.275.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 130440. Its worst performing day came on Nov 28, 2017, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 19136.
