Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Nov 10, 2023

The week of Nov 06, 2023 saw the price of live cattle end at 174.65. Compared to last week’s ending price of 185.225 the price of live cattle dropped by 5.7%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Nov 09, 2023 when the price was at 174.475.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 7.8%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 189.325 and have since dropped to 174.65.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2022, the price was at 165.575. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 5.5%.

On Sep 27, 2022, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 161.05.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 196992. Its worst performing day came on Nov 06, 2023, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 19997.
