Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Oct 20, 2023

The week of Oct 16, 2023 saw the price of live cattle end at 184.625. Compared to last week’s ending price of 186.75 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.1%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Oct 20, 2023 when the price was at 184.625.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 3.6%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 191.525 and have since dropped to 184.625.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2022, the price was at 161.475. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 14.3%.
