Leading U.S. swine experts joined pig producers and Ceva’s own swine team for the Ceva U.S. Swine Launch and Scientific Symposium, held in New Orleans.The event was staged in conjunction with the 47th meeting of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians and acted as a springboard for Ceva’s swine business in the United States.Gary Robertson, Director of Ceva’s U.S. Swine Business Unit, who opened the event, said: “The most important element for Ceva is people and we’ve been out telling our story and we have attracted the best talent from the industry both from a technical services standpoint and from a sales point of view and technical excellence is a number one priority for us.”And Ceva’s global CEO, Mark Prikazsky, who also spoke at the symposium said: “We have bigger and bigger companies in the swine market and I don’t think they are able to truly listen to their customers and that is why we are moving into custom vaccines. It’s important to have a good vaccine but the way you deliver it and inject it into the animal is critical too and we are a vet company driven by vets and I think that enables us to better listen to our customers.”Click here to see the Ceva TV report on the event.
