Boosting Pork Trade With China May Need Infrastructure Work In Ontario

 
 
The recent Ontario agri-food trade mission to China resulted in a few immediate sales and laid the groundwork for a number of long-term opportunities.
 
Agriculture Minister Jeff Leal was the co-leader of that tour.
 
He says it included over 300 business to business meetings between Chinese and Ontario representatives.
 
One sector which sees a lot of potential in the Chinese market is the Ontario pork industry.
 
Leal says the Ontario government is aware that in order to facilitate increased pork exports they need to take a look at the industry’s infrastructure.
