Crop Damage Hail Claims Up This Summer Across Saskatchewan

 
Its been a busy summer for crop damage hail claims across Saskatchewan.
 
Murray Bantle of Regina is chair of the Canadian Crop Hail Association.
 
He says claims are about 40 per-cent above normal this year.
 
He says there have been claims almost daily since the start of July.
 
He says communities hit hard include Melville, the southwest near Glentworth and south of Moose Jaw.
 
Bantle says hail claims are above average across all three prairie provinces.
 
He says his Saskatchewan office has handled about 15 hundred claims.
