Dairy Farmers of Canada: Stand Up For Our Milk..

Message to Producers from Caroline Emond, Executive Director, DFC

From Dairy Farmers of Canada

On behalf of Dairy Farmers of Canada, I would like to thank you for supporting our dairy farmers during this time of uncertainty and pressure from foreign interest to significantly alter our current system. This puts at risk the equality, stability and self-sufficiency of our dairy industry - an industry that has become a source of pride for Canadians.

We need your continued support. Purchasing and enjoying Canadian dairy products is a great first step but we need you to express that support by contacting your federal Member of Parliament. We recently updated our website, http://www.milkledowneffect.ca/ , with a program to do just that. We added the capability to send a letter of support directly to your federal Member of Parliament. The letter will be forwarded to the Prime Minister and the opposition leaders.

Time is of the essence. We are just a week away from the Ministerial meeting in Hawaii (July 28-31) where TPP negotiations will be at its most critical point. We need to continue to show government that we support a trade agreement but not at the risk of our dairy industry.

Please visit www.MilkleDownEffect.ca, send a letter to your local Member of Parliament and share your support with colleagues, friends and family via email and your social media channels.

Thank you once again!
