Deadline For 2016 Agristability Claims Is Approaching In Saskatchewan

The deadline for Saskatchewan farmers to apply for 2016 Agristability claims is getting closer.

It’s on Monday, October 2nd.

Agristability policy manager Warren Ames says farm claims have already reached over 17 million dollars for last year.

He says most of the 54 hundred claims are due to the poor harvest and lower cattle prices.

“Total yield and quality is certainly a factor there,” Ames said. “And cattle prices have certainly come down from where they were, so that’s a change in value there.”
