Director Nomination Deadline For Barley And Wheat Commissions September 15

Director Nomination Deadline For Barley And Wheat Commissions September 15

Saskatchewan barley and wheat producers wishing to serve as a director of either the Saskatchewan Barley Development Commission (SaskBarley) or the Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission (Sask Wheat) are reminded to submit their nomination forms and accompanying information by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017.

SaskBarley is seeking nominations for three positions on the SaskBarley Board of Directors. The SaskBarley nomination form, designated representative form, and instructions for submission of the nomination documents can be found at saskbarleycommission.com/priorities/communications.

Sask Wheat is seeking nominations for four positions on the Sask Wheat Board of Directors. The Sask Wheat nomination form, designated representative form, and instructions for submission of the nomination documents can be found at saskwheatcommission.com/about-sask-wheat/elections.

Producers interested in standing for a Director position with either commission are encouraged to submit their completed documents as soon as possible. To be eligible to stand as a candidate, nominees must be registered producers, which means they are levy paying producers who have not requested a refund for the 2016/17 crop year. All nominations are required to include contact information and signatures from at least two registered producers who are supporting the nomination.

Should the organizations receive more nominations than there are director positions available, elections will be declared and held during the period of October 24 to November 24.
