Kansas City, MO, (AgPR), July 21, 2015 -- AutoProbe Technologies, LLC, manufacturers of the AutoProbe automated soil sampler, names Effertz Farms, Belton, MO, a new grower-centric sales and service provider for southeast Kansas and western Missouri.

Mike Effertz of Effertz Farms says, "Maximizing crop profits, especially in lean times, starts with precision soil sampling. We see AutoProbe as the most consistent sampling solution with the highest reliability and precision. AutoProbe provides the right combination of automation and human supervision and interaction resulting in the highest quality soil samples. Good soil sample data is the foundational for producing the highest yields.

"We're excited to be the first in our area to sell and service AutoProbes," Effertz says. "We'll provide training and support, too. We are taking orders now for Fall delivery!"

Jeff Burton, President, AutoProbe Technologies, LLC says, "Everything begins with the soil. And, all cropping decisions from nutrients to seed are determined by the soil test analysis. Sophisticated soil sampling offered by the AutoProbe insures more cores per sample. It's just common sense the more cores you include per sample, the better quality results achieved.

"We're excited about our relationship with Effertz Farms," Burton continues. "Mike and his family farming operation represent the direction AutoProbe Technologies is moving in the marketplace, a grower-centric offering that enables growers to receive the highest of quality in data. Today’s top growers are realizing in order to compete in a market with thinner margins. Variable rate fertilizer application and variable population and hybrid seeding are being employed to maximize yield, lower costs and optimize profit, but it all begins with the most accurate soil samples and in turn quality data. The big data industry is already seeing the issues with today's most current technologies that it's 'Garbage In. Garbage out.' We have to standardize collection of data and AutoProbe Technologies sampling does exactly that while providing what growers are looking for in today's competitive landscape. AutoProbe Technologies is honored to be represented by this company in the Missouri/Kansas market and beyond."

About Effertz Farms, LLC

Effertz Farms is a 2nd,3rd and 4th generation corn and soybean no-till farming operation located on the south side of Kansas City. "My grandfather began as a cattle and corn farmer with his family in 1949," Effertz notes. "Four of his sons took over and became grain farmers until 1998 when two of the brothers sold their interest. We have maintained a lot of the same principles and traditions that made our company who it is today. We look to continue our operation for many years to come."

He continues, "We are jumping on board with precision ag and looking to benefit our operation beginning with grid soil sampling. By developing a closer relationship with each acre of our operation we look to increase our production capabilities and be better informed as to how we want to treat each acre to benefit the bottom line.

"Soil sampling is a time consuming and necessary practice, however, we began researching a way to take a larger number of samples in a grid and covering a significant number of acres in a day. AutoProbe was the answer for us," Effertz concludes.

About AutoProbe Technologies, LLC

Grower Inspired. Third generation Arkansas farmer Jim Burton pulled soil samples manually on his family's farm and never cared much for the time consuming, labor intensive work. He knew there had to be a better way to collect quality soil data. With a degree in Agricultural Engineering and 35 years of day-to-day farming experience, Burton set out to find a better way to collect high quality soil data.

Born in the Delta. His first prototype, named Opel, was completed in 2002. He spent the next six years refining and carefully adjusting the design and in 2008 the AutoProbe was given top new product honors at the World Ag Expo. The following Fall, AutoProbe was put to test in the Mississippi Delta from the Missouri down through southern Louisiana collecting thousands of cores and impressing soil labs at every stop.

Development continued in the Midwest. Soon AutoProbe™ had attracted industry attention from the largest of Ag Retailers, Seed Companies and Equipment Dealers with all offering AutoProbe™ soil collection as an integral component of their branded precision programs. Since 2008 nearly a million acres have been sampled for growers in 24 different states. AutoProbe continues to grow its distribution channels and in satisfied customers with the most sophisticated soil sample ever collected.

Now AutoProbe™ is available for purchase. For more information about AutoProbe Technologies, LLC visit
