Eggs in Incubators on January 1 Up 7 Percent from Last Year

Turkey eggs in incubators on January 1, 2015, in the United States totaled 29.3 million, up 7 percent from January 1, 2014. Eggs in incubators were up 1 percent from the December 1, 2014 total of 28.9 million eggs. 

Poults Hatched During December Up 12 Percent from Last Year

Turkey poults hatched during December 2014, in the United States totaled 24.7 million, up 12 percent from December 2013. Poults hatched were up 12 percent from the November 2014 total of 21.9 million poults. 

Net Poults Placed During December Up 7 Percent from Last Year

The 22.6 million net poults placed during December 2014 in the United States were up 7 percent from the number placed during the same month a year earlier. Net placements were up 11 percent from the November 2014 total of 20.4 million.
