Farm Fresh Food Fest showcases Georgian Bay agriculture

Township of Tiny event educates consumers on modern ag

Ontario producers have the opportunity to showcase their products at the Farm Fresh Food Fest in the Township of Tiny, Simcoe County from August 18 to 20.

The North Simcoe Agricultural Expo Agricole Association, the event organizer, aims to promote agriculture in the Georgian Bay area through the Fest.

The event provides an opportunity for farmers to share their stories and educate consumers on how food is produced, according to the Farm Fresh Food Fest website.

In addition to local vendors, there will be guest speakers and entertainment.

On Saturday night, Ciboulette et Cie, a local caterer, will serve a “100-Mile Dinner” consisting of locally-grown food. 

On Sunday morning, Valley Farm Market & Catering will serve a community breakfast, which will be followed by a 45-minute inter-faith service giving thanks to the land.

Admission prices range from $5 to $10, depending on the specific events underway that time of day. To gain admission to all events on August 19, including the 100-Mile Dinner, the cost is $75. Tickets can be purchased online.

Farmers who are interested in participating can register to be a vendor or exhibitor here.
