Farmer Asks For Dry Weather, Please

A farmer at New Bothwell is hoping for a good week of dry weather. Kevin Toews is part of Osterwick Farms, a mixed operation that grows 1,500 acres of crops in addition to having laying hens and hogs. He says they got a good start on the harvest but there's a lot more to do as soon as it's dry enough.

"We're done the winter wheat and the fall rye. We're into the spring wheat, canola is all down, ready to be combined and we're just trying to catch up. With all the rains, the and spring wheat has been ready for combining for over a week but we just haven't been able to get in there."
