Greenfeed and Silage Production

Producers in Alberta harvest significant acres of annual crops for greenfeed and silage every year. But greenfeed and silage production statistics for Alberta are not available from Statistics Canada or any other source. To fill this data gap and meet client needs, Alberta Agriculture initiated a greenfeed and silage production survey in 2002. Ashan Shooshtarian, crop statistician with Alberta Agriculture, says since then the survey has been conducted annually to develop selected statistics for the forage industry. Ashan can you tell us about tame hay production in 2015?
