John Deere Events - 2013 Drive Green Challenge Begins

For the fifth consecutive year, the John Deere Company has announced it will be putting on its annual “Drive Green Challenge” event, which gives Deere enthusiasts a chance to test drive the latest Deere equipment at selected dealers across the country. The event, which runs from January through November, gives consumers an opportunity to test drive John Deere utility tractors, including the John Deere 1 Series, 3E Series, and 5D/5E Series tractors.

The motto for this year’s challenge is “Take a seat. Take the challenge. Take it home.” To get a feel for how the Deere machines stack up to those of their competitors, event attendees will have the opportunity to test drive competitor vehicles. From an Ohio Country Journal article, Steve Geick, Tactical Marketing Manager for John Deere, says of the event, “It’s a great way to understand how to choose the right size attachments and implements so that they get the most from their equipment investment.”

As an added incentive for those in attendance, a $500 discount coupon can be redeemed for the purchase of any of the John Deere 1 Series through 6 Series tractors. Attendees will also be entered to win a John Deere 1023E Sub-Compact Utility Tractor with D120 Loader and Frontier Grooming Mower, which will be given away in at the conclusion of the event in November.
