KAP Encouraged By Province's Commitment To Reduce Red Tape

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister had some good news for the agriculture sector in this week's throne speech.

One commitment the government made was the reduction of government red tape, by establishing a red tape review task force.

Keystone Agricultural Producers President Dan Mazier welcomed the news.

"That was one of our parts that we've been focusing on ever since the government ran on that policy," he said. "It was good to see that they were reinforcing what they promised during the election cycle and we're building our list right now."

Mazier notes that almost every aspect of the agriculture sector would benefit from a reduction of government red tape.
